Open Question: Should i buy a 2007 BMW M5 with 75k+ miles on it?

2007 M5, SMG, In great shape, the only mod is a icy air intake. He is asking 35,000. I plan on keeping the car for 3+ years and i steer about 25k miles\year. Is an M5 with that many miles a good buy? will the car last to 150k mile and still be somewhat reliable?

hi , have a 2004 bmw 530d e60 and recently has started putting out white smoke when started , not a huge amount though but enough. doesnt seem to be any when driving or down on any power. any ideas? could it be turbo related? its thick enough white smoke, didnt look like condensation related.

Open Question: What repairs are needed for my BMW?

The previous owner lost the key. They swapped out the ignition, and claim that the car will not run. From the research I have done, it either needs reprogrammed or a new OEM ignition made from the dealership. Does anyone know or have my worked on these before that can tell me what exactly needs to be done, and what is possible or not. Can I receive an OEM ignition? Does it actually need reprogrammed? Is there any way to do it myself, since the car cannot make it to the dealer? 1996 BMW 328is

Yesterday in Saudi, I just filled a rental car (a Yaris to be fair), from what I consider to be completly empty for 2.86 GBP. That was 91 octance. 95 wasn't much more expensive. You read that right. How much to fill your Yaris there? So do you think I would have been better selling my BMW X5 (a V8 too), here, rather than in the UK? Open Question: do you agree, if you knowyour car it will last?

My family has always had chevys I can never receive a clear answer on exactlly if there good or not buy other people however my moms blazer is at 154,000 miles and has never gave her any issues that were over 400 dollars to fix, actually not close it and my dads dodge ram which is old a 1996, hasnt had an issue over 400 dollars as well, and it now has 185,000 miles. Now i think its normal but im having second guesses on this volks wagon that i want really bad and can afford, and by the way i work for my money im in highschool i work delivering pizzas and a retail store. I have been delivering pizzas in my moms blazer for quite some time now, and she need her car now a lot, so now i have 1300, dollars in tax money and have to act quick before my delivery shift, you know. So now i have in reality 2600 because the lots want half down. Its a 1999 volkswagon passat 2.0l turbo, 5 speed triptronic trannny. It is $2500 and has 198,000 miles, its drives very smooth and accelerates effortlessly, it handles very tightly, and glides at high speeds, the body is green and it has not a dent or a scratch, the dealer said he put new housing in it, a new themostat, and wheel bearings. Coms when driving would be the brakes clunked but the dealer claimed the rotors are rusty from sitting, and we smelled gas at cease lights off the highway and he also claimed it is from sitting, he set it could be it wasnt leaking we checked. it was low on engine coolant below min, no lights were on dash besides windshield wiper fluid haha. But will it take me to 250,00 miles, can volkswagon do it its a german car, i know nothing about it iv always been the kid to like muscle car and trucks and corvettes, seriously iv never cared but to watch audis and bmw's volkswagon i knew they were quick but now i hear about the compacted build and the gadgets. lets say id feel most comfortable with a gm, and they have a 2002 pontiac grand prix i can almost afford, but i need something quick, should i buy a volkswagon id take care of it id flush it change it boost it help it, but will it leave me hangin?

Open Question: Marine Poser at my Community College, I know he's fake, but wanna make sure?

I am enthusiastic about military history and the military in general, it always boggled me, but I felt since the beginning this guy whom I met several days ago isn't every he claims to be... and he's claimed A LOT! He is Guyanese, is "20", and basically told me he has served in the Marines for over 3 years as of now, graduating from John Adams HS in 2010. Pretty fishy already of course... 1. Claims he served in Pakistan and had to kill several kids with razor blades because they were "combatants". 2. His Uncle and Cousin are in the military and his Uncle was apart of the group involved in Osama Bin Ladens raid. Something like that, being some great sniper who pot-shotted. I knew instantly he was lying about that. 3. Remember mentioning he was a "Master Sergeant", or at least "Sergeant", Marines-wise again, and received pretty much 5,000$ a month as payment, had to report to duty twice a month, and somehow managed to "Pink Slip" himself a BMW in which he sold, lol... Some other things go on, like it's classified military knowledge that we're fighting some Russian faction in Russia, blah blah blah. So I wanna know, what is the best way to make him cough up blood to reveal he's fake as hell? For some reason it actually really pissed me off when I put the puzzle pieces together, and if I ever run into this dude again, I can break him down. My dad served in Vietnam, and I highly respected that, as I do our military, so that's probably why I'm nearly hell-bent on this research mission of mine. And lastly, he mentioned he could go to "any country", as V.I.P like plane pilots if he wears his uniform onto the plane, with his weaponry, including bring a concealed gun onto an NY, Queens borough college campus just by receiving easy permission from some office on the campus. every of this sounds pretty illegal and dishonest, if I could seriously report this dude to some Veteran/Military outlet or some school branch, I would. What you think? Thanks for y'every getting back to me quick, and no, it's not a hoax. I wouldn't waste my time at 5AM in the morning putting this up for shits and giggles. Open Question: 1999 BMW 323i E46 Tire Size?

So my rear tires are wore down pretty bad so I'm getting new ones. Right now I have 235/35/19 every the way around. The rims are every the same size and aren't staggered. Would it be bad if I put 245/35/19 on the rears? What are the pros and cons of this? Only reason I'm doing this is because I'm getting the tires for free from my cousin.

Resolved Question: My husband is a (trust fund baby) spoiled brat! Help!?

My husband is 32 years old and still in college. We have had two kids in the past two years and it has been very difficult on me! I have just recovered from a 15 year struggle with anorexia (I am 27) and my health isn't always the greatest. My 4 month old has colic and my other baby is 17 months. His family bought us a home, gave it to us, gives us money constantly. My husband goes to school part time and works doing fabrication seldomly! He acts like he work so difficult, but in every honesty he doesn't. Divorce has been brought up several times mostly when he doesnt't receive his way, then he leaves and comes back and apologizes. I have wanted out of the marriage several occasions, but he corners me and say, "well sweetheart you know if you really leave me you won't have such a good life"!!! Wtf! He holds money over me like this and I feel it's wrong! He always says if we divorce I won't receive anything because it's every in trust for two years! blah blah blah and so on. On top of that he has called me terrible names in front of his dad and completely embarrassed me. Tell's me I'm an anorexic bit*h, wh*re, sl*t, C*unt, and that he hopes I go anorexic and die's. Then he goes on to tell me that I'll end up fat like my Mom "my mom is a Sweetheart"! I don't know what to do it's like I'm never good enough! Then when I want to leave him he straightens up briefly. His family has admitted he has always had a terrible anger problem... he's so spoiled! My family drives ford's ad his drives BMW's his Dad's car is worth almost as much as my Mom's home! His car was 110 thousand just a couple of months ago and my Mom's home is worth 175 thous. Why does this matter to him? why is he such a jerk! I was also in labor for 2 days and he refused to take me to the hospital finally my Mom drove 100 miles to our place and my water gushed every over the floor..... when he got home he worked out and made a protein shake before taking me and then told the nurse at the hospital that it was a wasted trip and I was faking! His Mom convinced him that there was nothing wrong with me. He left me immediately for three hours to go RELAX while I was in terrible pain every by myself! What should I do? He swears he loves me, and I do adore him, but he's sick in the head. I don't know what to do :( help me please!

Please help me, I steer a 2004 BMW 325i sedan. I was washing my car just an hour ago, and while I was drying it off I placed my keys on top of my moms car, a little into drying the car my mom had left and taken her car to the supermarket. I had completely forgot about the keys!! After searching the road we finally found them but the key is destroyed!! A car ran over them, it wont unlock or lock and the metal part is bent so the key wont turn the car on either!! How much is this going to cost me I need a new BMW key and on top of that they need to reprogram it to my car??

Open Question: is 18 too young to learn to ride motorcycles?

I've been wanting to ride a motorcycle since I was 16. Just to start, I'm not in it for the looks, or the popularity, but more that I'm very passionate about bikes, and motorcycles, and just adore them in general. Also, I'm very responsible, I know how dangerous they are and I'm certainly not stupid and am not gonna do anything stupid with it, I just want to ride it to work and college, both 10 minute car drives. I know how to work a clutch, seeing that I steer a BMW stick shift... and once again I'm responsible. I haven't been in any accidents, never gotten a ticket, every that jazz. I know the roads around here like the back of my hand, and most of the people in this town are responsible drivers... so what do you think? I was thinking of a GSXR600 or a ZX-6R. I've seen some people at my job rolling in on bikes and I asked them if a 600 was a good starting spot and they said yeah, the 600 is perfect to start learning especially if i know how to work a clutch... soo what's yahoo answers' opinion?

Open Question: My engine doesn't start after sitting in the snow for a couple of days! why?

My '95 bmw 325i has been sitting in the Denver snow storm for the past couple days. over 14" of snow has accumulation on top of it and today as the snow started melting I couldn't receive the car running. The engine cranks when I turn the ignition but no luck. every electrical devices fully functional, the car sounds as though it almost wants to start but I decided to let it be to no put any strain on the car. Open Question: What do you think about a female driving a masculine car?

So I'm thinking about getting a new car. Its an older BMW 3 series coupe, with a manual transmission. It looks rather manly to me, but i absolutely adore this car. Its also a salvage car, so me and my dad would have to fix it up.. which makes it even more manly. So here's my reservation/concern: I don't want to look like some dike chick trying to be chilly by driving a mens sports car. I truly just adore cars, and driving and engineering. I grew up surrounding by mechanical talk and car talk and planes, so its just in my blood to like that stuff. Its not like im completely obsessed with it, I'm still very feminine. In fact, I really hate the whole feminist movement and am kinda sexist myself (men are men, women are women.. we are not supposed to be the same). But i am concerned that i will arrive off wayy too manly driving this car. (i shouldn't care, and I'm getting it no matter what you every say.. but i want to know) lol. I said a "new" car, and then went on to say "an older BMW.." sorry for the confusion.. its an older car. so yes, its cheap and practical. decent fuel economy with the manual gearbox and can be fixed and bought for below 5 grand USA dollars.
